The version on Skull and Roses was messed with in the studio and has Merl Saunders adding organ parts,so I don't think that qualifies as a true version,unless that doesn't matter to you which would make this is irrelevant.

doesn't really matter to me but since people aere purists I'm not sure I have one favorite but I dig the early ones circa 71 especially due to the tone of Phils bass that year and Garcias vocals. I love the first one 2-18 but docks of the river doesn't do it for me as I picture it being in S.F. of course.
